Have eaten some odd meats in my time including Sqirrel, bit like very sweet chicken. It is said that if you take the rear leg of a cat, rabbit and chicken, skinand bone them you will be hard pressed to tell the difference. In Korea they eat dog, in China any thing thta moves.

Apparently Aus is a very large exporter of wild as well as old horses. Not sure if they are sent live or slaughtered then sent to Europe. Richard

Hi Calvin,
Ref your post 14, i remember the Beaulieu road hotel well, i was on that fire that night. One of the problems we had from the Fire Service point of view, was establishing who was still in the building?, it seems that several of the guests that night were booked in with company other than their wives, and so got in their car and fled!!!, one wasnt you perchance??? Also had to attend another fire there some years later. regards KT

Hi Stuart,
The only Struan inn i recall was at Ashley Heath, although never used it. My memory is trying to recall from 37 years ago when i lived at Lyndhurst, regards Keith Tindell

Away at sea at the time Keith so didn't see the mess until I got home. Regarding people booked in with other than their spouses I would hazard they were in a majority, it was quite a party hotel when Rosita ran it. That area certainly opened my eyes to what went on once the grockles had gone home too.
Regards
Calvin
