I , like many others here see the one scrounger , the ones that Dominic Littlewood highlights in " saints and Scroungers " , the ones you meet with their disability car , parked in the Golf Course car park as they walk the 7 mile course and brand them thieving persons , whether of Anglo Saxon or Colonial or any other background , and as they take taxpayers money , e get incensed because they are robbing us directly . This then makes us forget the one legged soldier , the Schizophrenic with severe depression , the young girl with ME , the lad , driven by a drug addiction to anti social behaviour . When at work none of us would have wanted to work alongside any of those , because they were not capable of a days work , I have worked alongside a few , and those genuine cases will fight like the very Devil to prove that they don't need the benefit , even though you sometimes wish they would take it . ATOS is target driven , and its contract worth £100.000.000 a year . Their website states At Atos we respect and reward achievement . there has to be targets to achieve that statement . I agree with the principle of catch the criminal , but the net seems to be catching too many of the innocent too

rob when you are told by a consultant surgeon that if he operates he would probably leave you paralyzed wheelchair bound so to atos you are finished with the hospital appointments that goes against you means nothing to them? also blockage to the left side of my brain that if it went on the move i would be dead before hitting the ground no more hospital can do so that means nothing to atos i go once a year for it to be measured and luckily it has stayed the same but my point is this means nothing to them now i have a pack loads of pages of questions tick one box that you cant answer and that's you in the shite with them? that's what you are up against!!!! and there is people that are worse of than me being told by them they are fit for work? thats the part that pi..ess you off you know your own body best and thats a fair system?jp

As I have sid before John. If you know what box's to tick on the multitude of forms then you will get everything but stuff up one and that is it. It pays to read through the whole lot first because they are designed for another little box asking a ambiguous question that negates the one you ticked ealier and there are a few there. I know because I took my form to a beuracrate (think you know who I mean) who I knew and he explained all this to me and showed me the conflicting questions. So it is not if you are medically entitled to it. It is if you are lliterate in form ticking. Why do you think all the w*** and rag heads get away with it.

About 5 years ago i had 1 or 2 health issues and had to go on the sick apparently any doctor that works for the nhs is not allowed an opinion on your health only the dhs doctors have that right so they made an appointment for me to go see a dhs approved doc well i missed the appointment and had all sickness benefits housing benefits and council tax benefits stopped

You may say its my own fault probably was for not turning up but the docs and nurses on the ward were pretty reluctant to let me pull out the drips and disconnect the wires that were plugged into me even refusing let me try to get there so you see even when in intensive care its no excuse to miss appointments

By the time they got it all sorted out i got well over £2500 in back payed benefits was also up in court for non payment of council tax and the council were trying to get a court order to reclaim overpaid housing benefits

I do enjoy our little chats down at them offices but amazes me how people with no sign of any brain activity can work there or is that the qualification they look for

hi Rocky, they are completely without any feeling or compassion, ATOS who run it now are more like Hitlers Gestapo, as you said if one Appointment is missed, or one Letter not replied to, everything is stopped, even if the letter was never received by you, took 7 months to get my wifes back pay re instated, dont care if you starve meantime.

On the TV show it was pointed out that the claimant had mental health problems and had attempted suicide on many occassions,ATOS replied,how come he/she is still alive!!! Must be faking it.
