Handcart, handbasket, it matters not. They both end up in the same place anyway. But I have heard the expression pi##3ed as a handcart. Funny thing is I never saw one in that state.

Why is it Brain that so called multi tasking females cannot have a headache and sex at the same time?
They can talk and knit, so why not ache and sex?

Yes Roger in our day the dress code was par excl lent. Drainpipe trousers, drape coats, kiss curl hairstyle, lamb chop sideburns, winkle-picker shoes. But despite what would now be seen as outrageous clothing it was at least very neat and tidy. Hats were worn in the correct manner, but there was a reason for that, we knew which way our brains faced, shoes were polished to the highest degree and we spent hours making sure we were dressed to kill. Much of the clothing worn by today's youth may be readily obtained from the local tip and I suspect in may cases is. Most of us at some time have thrown away better looking clothing. But wait, you can now buy ready wrecked clothing in the stores. I was looking at some jeans the other day, ready bleached, holes in the knees, and one pocket torn away. All this for the low price of $85, well designer clothing never was cheap. Then we have the footwear, or more correctly the runners. I have seen many shoe shops offering countless styles of footwear some most elegant, but none to compare with the humble runner. But of course not just any runner, no, they must be of the most disgusting condition before they can even be considered fit to wear. How long before designer runners eventuate.
Dress standard have gone down the gurgler over the years.Long gone the heavy overcoat with the wide lapel with carefully placed razor blades stitched to the inside, just in case some rough head decided to grab you by them . I do believe Reg Kray had such a coat Had stitched for him in Saville Row. Now the young shop in the bottom row.

slightly off topic I know but none the less reflective of our sad society these days I am wondering whether the following is a local craze or more wide spread.

The local girls are WSM have taken to wearing very thin skin tight black leggings (more like black tights). On top they will wear a so called skirt which is just a long tee shirt which actually only reaches to the mid point of there bottoms. Consequently following them down the road you can see exactly what sort of knickers they are wearing, what colour they are and in fact if they are wearing any at all!. Now as a red blooded male I initially found it quite pleasing especially on those with a nice bottom, but of late there are some real misshaped bums on view. To cap it all as I was standing in the playground awaiting my daughter the other day there was one 30+ female thus attired who had a bottle green thong but she also had a hole in her tights not 3" away from you know where which was just begging to be poked Are these women really to be considered to be good role models for the young and impressionable? Me thinks that they are very representative of the element who idolise the irritating expression we have all come to know and loathe.

    Default Irritating expressions.

Funny enough Alf when I was a kid there was a Rag and Bone yard near us and he used to rent handcarts out for 6d a day.He must've had a dozen or so.guys out of work would hire one and go "Tatting" for the day .It was a joy to see their faces as they approached the yard if they had a good load on the cart. Many people hired one of these carts when they were moving house, especailly youg couples who had got their first Council house they would'nt have much gear as most of the time they had been living in their Ma's front parlour.
Anyway to get back to irritating expressions.Sportsmen come out with some crackers.Boxers "I've come here to make a statement" or how about "I'm going to give it 110%" I wonder why it's never 100%?
    Regards.

In respect of the above you must remember Brian "there are more horses' a*ses than there are horses", and that is evident walking in any town centre

I, for one, feel the mothers of these women never taught them how to dress properly. As a woman, I am often embarrassed by the members of my sex not knowing what appropriate attire is and how to wear their clothes. I truly believe these females don't own mirrors!! Correct me if I'm wrong, gents, but leaving something to the imagination is more appealing than 'baring it all', is it not?
