    I cannot quite make the date out Brian was that February 1964? 360 people was that bringing the ship alongside or ferrying by ships lifeboats? Job well done by the looks of it.

    It was February 1964 and the ships lifeboats were used to ferry all those people onto the ship.

    Not sure on reading that Letter to you Brian?
    Were you there at the time, was the letter in thanks in relation as to what you did on Board to assist ??

    Reminds me of the Tristan De Cuna incident around the same time.
    Cape Town Castle picked them up and took them into Cape Town.
