    Default neville

Looks very detailed , and a great memento for some one who sailed on her.

It looks very detailed indeed Neville. Went round the land in a few Aussie boats but had the wrong colour eyes ever to get a deep foreign going job in one.
From memory there was three of this class, Nestor, Neleus and Theseus. I don't recall they had columns on the poop however, it's over 50 years ago.
Perhaps Alec (Trader) or Peter Trodden have a better memory than me.

I must have been one of the blue-eyed boys Bill as I coasted the "Nestor" and did two Aussie trips on the "Neleus" in 1955/56 with your old mate Danny Proctor as Lampy and Jimmy Mason as Bosun. They were sister ships to the "Theseus" and yes, they did have columns (Samson posts) on the poop.

Paragon9, what a beautiful model, so much detail in the rigging. Your father must be a very patient man with a steady hand. Bit out of my price range though.

    Alec.

    Hi.
They are really lovely models, the detail shows a lot of patience needed, I followed the Nestor around the Aussie coast many times, I am in the process of putting another sailing ship in a bottle to while away a few hours.
    Cheers Des

    Thumbs up Fantastic!!

What an absolutely fantastic Model,it must have taken some really painstaking hours and patience to say the least!
At that size it sure wouldnt travel too good to Aussie though!and would cost an arm and a leg too!
    Congrats!
