Hi John I am ex ESSO, I was on most of the VLCC fleet and then the small ones after the VLCCs went to Taiwan. Then retired when the fleet disapeared.

Hi John,
I served on 11 Esso tankers. The smallest being the Preston, and the largest the Windsor
Great ships, great accom. great food, in fact great everything!!

hi colin my first was the cardiff sailed on about 15 but of sailed on same ones a few times last one was the fife alas i was medicly disscharged did about 18 years all told many happy times speak to you again soon cheers john

I am an ex ESSO man to Deckhand sailed to Japan on one cant remember the name of it NOW, Sailed on the Winchester ,Cardiff the Purfleet (old T2 tanker) Wiggy

Hi Jack, I too sailed on deck ,on the John Flanigan, D.L. Harper. & Esso Birmingham . Wonderful company ,food & Capt. Pugsley on the 'Harper has to be mentioned , as being a little eccentric but an utter gentleman with his crews welfare a prime occupation ( just had to get that off my chest !). Ron
