I would like to see Nato kept North of the equator for which it was formed by Churchill, I like the peace and tranquility down South, and every time I see that German woman pushing her oar in at the Nato conferences I wonder why, does she still resent the Russian's thrashing her country last time, and if she keeps pushing the next as well.

Putin has advised Trump not to bomb Iran. Iran & Russia are buddies but they have no agreements made to come to one another assistance if attacked , that could very well change if Putin wants to see if Trump has got the balls? I think Trumps problem is he may well not have the backing of the US Senate or Congress or very likely the military big wigs do not fancy getting dragged into yet another gulf region war.
Anyway Trump says he will lets us know when he makes his mind up in 2 weeks time.

Whatever one thinks about Iran , I would ignore others views unless they had been there in both the Shahs time and the Ayatollahs reign. There was little to choose between them both governments were/are corrupt and if giving the choice would put more trust in George Robey. Sept 1974 I paid off there to fly down to Newcastle NSW, and had to get the agent to pay the backshea to the immigration officer to stamp my passport. I feel sorry for the residents of Iran in their forced upon them government of the day. In 1979 the shah was deposed and they got another just as bad if not worse in its place. I would have no hesitation to the US dropping their blockbuster if there is any chance of there being deep underground enrichment plants for Uranium.It can be done by given them due warning if they keep on denying and not show proof they are innocent.. As you know I was there when the Americans where trying to put the Shah back on the Peacock Throne, they had just elected a good Govt that the majority approved of. The Ayatollah of that time was in Paris, but returned to Iran, I wish he hadn't but such is life, it deals bad cards sometimes.
