Some offshore ships Don’t carry any lifeboats they carry an inflatable called the DOTI boat which most assume is the ships lifeboat , plus the FRC for obvious reasons , plus a couple of life rafts .The ship itself usually a clapped out fishing boat was the lifeboat for all. What the rules are today regarding lifeboats and life saving equipment wouldn’t know. Lots of things changed due to that monstrosity the E.U.and in most cases not for the better .JS.

Maybe the call wouldgo out not as women and children first, But Party members only

Do some of these super cruise ships use a kind of Helter Skelter type thing and passengers slide down those and into large inflatable life rafts. They are towed away by motor boats and mustard a safe distance away from the vessel. Thought I read that once as it is supposed to an effienct way to speedily evacuate passengers? All very well and good as long as a serious fire is not raging at the time and the weather is not on the rough side? Does not bear thinking about trying to getting 5000 people off a cruise ship in an emergency.

Well with lots of shouting for gender equality, how about a lifeboat drill where the bloods and the crew line up in gender order, ...female, male. female, male... and the parent or companion in front takes the kiddies? if you like you can shove the kiddies to the bloods in the fronts to take care of in case the lifeboats, or dingies, and rubber ducks are full. But that would entail some sort of pre-disaster agreement so as not to infringe on the rights of people that hate kids or wouldn't be seen dead with a diaper bag.

The Govt here are going to pass a law that prevents anyone interfering with kids who have no gender, that is kids who are born neither a girl or boy, until such time as the child is old enough, {And hope fully intelligent enough} to make their own minds up as what they want to be.

How are they going to enforce that Des , invent a dual purpose chastity belt.? For children up to the age of 12 . The only trouble with that it may interfere with the nappies in the earlier years. . JS
