Re: Worlds Largest Cruise Ship.
One of the very best cruises I ever was on Swan Helenic`s MINERVA, a very nice small ship, only 300 passengers.
From B.A. to USHUAIA and then round Cape Horn and down to the ANTARCTIC CONTINENT, landing in several places with the Penguins, Elephant seals, for 35 days and calling Deception Island and sailing through the Caldera of a volcano and swimming surrounded by ice, bergs in a very warm sea from the volcano.
at Elephant Island where Shackleton left his men to go for help, South Georgia and seeing Shackleton`s grave. Then to Tristan da Cunha and then three days in Cape Town An Incredible tour and experience. it would have been worth more than double the money.
She is a very popular ship.

Re: Worlds Largest Cruise Ship.
Was Brian, apparently all stranded passengers are being sent home ok, and all passengers that had booked being reimbursed, shame to have that happened, kt

Re: Worlds Largest Cruise Ship.
Hi Kt
the Directors of the company were taking pay of up to One Million Pounds each, Lord Stirling is the boss..
The company only made half a million.
so that's why it has gone.
The ship is in Marseille froggy france, and her cruise to the Canaries due on the 3rd Jan has been cancelled.

Re: Worlds Largest Cruise Ship.
Hope the crew on ship get payed, and if they don't, know enough to use their first lien on the ship and have sold, if necessary to pay their wages. have seen it done once from a distance in Montreal to a sister ship I was on with a Yugoslav crew. The only one who doesn't have a lien on the vessel is the master. Unless of course all this part of old maritime law has been changed to suit the foreign parliament in Brussels, JS

Is this what you saw regarding Carnival. It seems to be something that enables Crew Members to give better service to the passengers.

Re: Worlds Largest Cruise Ship.
John, very like that, only this was stated for passengers, open your cabin door as you approach, track where your friends are onboard etc. So it seems it's going to be a dual role for crew and passengers, kt

Re: Worlds Largest Cruise Ship.
track where your friends are onboard etc
Hi KT, does that mean, if I have an "assignment" with some young lady on my next cruise ship, SHE can find me at it??
Don't think I will like that ,
Cheers
