Re: Liverpool voted top again.
Love Liverpool, to be honest was not impressed first visit, near every corner someone was selling 4 lighters for a pound, but every visit since saw more of the pool and the history and culture. Honestly not knocking, love the place and back soon. K.

Be careful how you spell 'cruises' Terry. (#3). Keith (#6) will expect to find one on every corner on his next visit to the 'Pool.

Doubt it, Since City of Culture was awarded, though before trips did seem to be to a building site. Again not knocking, as said love it and should be local again in the New Year. k

Yes, Mike I also read that, I suppose in hindsight all those guys walking around the ships from the mid 70s onwards in Liverpool docks, With their top hats and long coats notebook in hand may not have been a waste of time I speak of course of Time and Motion. Pity the Merchant Fleet, Seaman's jobs and all the dock workers riggers etc had to go but then that is what they call progress Terry.

Re: Liverpool voted top again.
Shall be back in Liverpool early March and can't wait to get back. In my mind Liverpool is without doubt the greatest city on this planet, but being a scouser I would say that I suppose. Funnily enough in 25 years at sea I can count the number of times I have sailed up he Mersey at the end of a voyage on one hand.
It was either Southampton or Tilbury or being flown home from abroad.
Regards
John
