The Worlds Biggest Vessels.
Come across this and what i find interesting are the letters of complaint, scroll down to bottom to read.Norwegian ship Epic the cabins have a toilet with just a curtain for privacy and they had to take all the lifeboats off before they could go alongside in New York. This couple enjoyed their time aboard container ships rather that the cruise liners.
Regards.

Jim, priced up a container voyage a few years ago, it was expensive in comparison with a cruise ship. SAFMarine were offering voyages, UK-South Africa etc.

A mate of mine (single guy) did that trip Vic and realy enjoyed it.I think what it was his dad and brother had been at seaman and had told him yarns about the sea and he wanted to see what it was all about, not on a cruise liner.

Not my idea of a good cruise, locked away in a container for all that time.

Re: The Worlds Biggest Vessels.
Hi all,Just back from a week on the Golden Princess, to Alaska.
Unfortunately the weather was not good, and an excursion I was looking forward to, was canceled.
However. The accommodation, crew and food, were first class.
Had a chat with the captain, who actually remembered the old Iberia, Brian, but it was before his time.
His father had been captain for UCL.
Left that one alone John!
Not like some of the 5,000 ton ships I used to sail on.
Kept getting lost.
Den.
