George Phillips
It is my sad duty to report the passing of George Phillips, fireman, who Crossed the Bar on the 2nd November 2005.
George will be known to many seafarers who have served in Buries Marks and P@O vessels.
A true shipmate and one of life's gentlemen. He will be greatly missed.

I was third engineer and had the pleasure of sailing with George on many occasions with Buries Marks. He was a great guy and loved to party. I have quite a few photos of him if anyone would like one I can email them

George Phillips
George was a great friend to me during my time on the La Hacienda, I may not have continued with my career if George hadn't have taken the time to show me the ropes. Bearing in mind that I was a Catering Boy at the time and George was in the engine room, shows the magnitude of the man's generosity.
Rest In Peace George, I am deeply shocked at this news.

Sadness!!
Not knowing George,i can but only guess by what has been said that he was a good sort!
So may i join in saying that it is indeed sad to hear of his passing, and i am sure he will be missed by all his Peers and Family!
May his Sails now take him on his final Journey, and hope that he will now be at Peace!
My Sincere Condolences to his immediate Family and Friends!
