Sadly we hear from Catriona, Denis's daughter that he Crossed the Bar a few days ago.
Peaceful sailing shipmate.
This from his registration:-
Started 11 years old at London Nautical School and never looked back! Ex Chief Engineer and latterly Fleet Manager with Meridian Ship Management. Apprentice to 2/E with NZSCo then C/E with Reardon Smiths and Salvesens (short spell on Holihead Ferry’s) then to Jebsen, ashore as Superintendent with them in 1989 then with them through their various ownerships and name changes to retirement in 2013.
