Tony Cooke
Hi Everyone,
Today I received the very sad news that Tony Cooke has crossed the bar.
Tony has been looking in on the site for a very long time & contributed on the old site.
He has had some chronic health problems but I know hiis death has come as a shock to his family.
I got to know Tony quite well via e-mails. He was a gentleman with a great sense of humour who shared many of his tales of his time at sea with me & I will miss that & his e-mails very much.
I hope you will join me in sending Vicky Cooke & all Tony's family our condolences, warm wishes & prayers.
Tony's funeral will take place at Southend Crematorium on Tues 6th Oct at 1.40pm.
God Bless Tony, it was a pleasure to know you.
Kindest regards to Vicky & all the family.

Hi Tracey,
First let me say how sorry I was to hear of the passing of Tony Cooke and my heartfelt condolences to his family. I am not sure whether I knew Tony, did he sail with Cunard on the big ships and then in the late 70's early 80's with Townsend Thorenson. If so, that is where I know him from - one of the good guys and came from Liverpool.
Regards,
John.
