anyone who has been a member of another mn site capt john briggs passed away today peacefully in his sleep he was a friend to all and never a bad word about anyone his wife sister elef will miss him.. jp

I knew John well having stayed with him and his wife in 2012 & 2014.
The was a real gent, a master mariner, under sail, the last Sydney Harbour Master, and Australia's Rep to the IMO in London at one time as well.
I'm gutted, and privileged to have called him my friend.
