    please all join me in offering sincere condolinces to the family and shipmates of a scouse seaman by the name of john scowen.sadely crossed the bar this week.his son young john scowen may well read this post he has followed his fathers footsteps and currently at sea. very sincere and heartfelt condolinces for a true gent as john was.keep smiling young john thats what your dad would have wanted.i will be at the funeral, plz let your mum betty know i am thinking of you all at this sad time.he had a great sence of humour john will be very much missed bye myself terry hartley@family.p.s. where will i get my updates of the seabreeze? god be with you all R.I.P. JOHN i hope your sailing on a warm summer breeze.

    To young John Scowen your dear Mother,and ALL members of the Family!

    May i take this time to convey my Sincere Condolences to you all on the very sad passing of your dear Dad,Husband ,and good friend John Snr!
    Although i didnt know him,we are as Seaman one large Family,and it is always so sad to hear of another crossing the Bar!

    I know this will indeed be a very difficult time for all concerned,and i hope that you will all be strong and stand tall!

    As all Seaman i know that John Snr will want nothing more than all to be happy,so take Heart and know that he will be amongst you all forever!

    May he rest in peace! God Bless John Snr.

    Terry it is always sad when one of the family of the sea crosses the bar. My deepest condolences to his family and mwy he forever sail on calm waters.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    i would also add my condolances to RLT,vernon, john and others.a sad time indeed. had a seaman pass away recently in plymouth. i didn't know him but he was a member of the russian convoy club.i didn't know it existed. cheers. alf.

    john these posts come from the heart mate, everyone it was a beutiful and fitting service, for your father i must admit i have never seen white roses arranged in the shape of a ship like that bearing bon voyage,you done him proud lad. hold your head up and never loose your smile john .call into my home any time you feel the need you are very welcome.terry in ash. god be with you all i have lost a true friend.17 months laid up and your dad always came to my place to see how i was.R.I.P. JOHN a true friend terry.
