My brother attended David Jones [of the Indefatigable Ass.] Funeral last Thursday in Liverpool and on Sunday he and I are driving down to Eastbourne, Sussex for Nigel Paynes Funeral on Monday, when I get back home I am attending my ex Wife`s Funeral on Wednesday morning, she died on Tuesday morning. found dead by my eldest son, very sad we were married for 21 years and the mother of my two sons.
Then my sister in law is on the "Liverpool Pathway" , no medication and no sustenance, so another Funeral is pending.
My eldest brother ex Seaman , has been put in a care home for Dementia, not a pleasant condition.
So this last week and the next have not been very pleasant.
But one bit of good news is , I saw the Consultant yesterday to get the results of my CT Scan for my Pancreaitis, it was good, so I am now recovered from my operation in Honolulu.
Feel better now.
Cheers
Brian.

Brian, it seems almost unbelievable that one should have to endure so much sadness in such a short time span. Please know that you, your sons and extended family have my sincere condolences at this sad time. Sad, also, to learn that two more of our dwindling band have crossed the bar. In sharp contrast to such sadness is the good news you received regarding your health. How strange, that the every day sameness of our lives can so quickly turn upside down, yet with equal suddenness be restored to an even keel by good news or the kindness of others ? Take care, mate, and keep well............Roger

Brian my condolences on your loss. I know you have not been married to her for many years but she was still the mother of your sons, of whom I know you are very proud. Lie has a funny way of turning out at times and it is not given to us to understand sometimes.
But you now have good health and that my friend is the greatest gift you can have,

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

I attended Nigel`s Funeral yesterday in Eastbourne, it went off very well, He had a `guard of honour` from a Sefaring Association with banners and eight of us attended who had sailed with him in ESSO. Well over 100 people were there, He was an extremely popular guy. Everyone liked him.
Not many people around who I would travel 700 miles on a round trip to do that.
Vaya con Dios, Nigel.
