Ron Parks
Sadly I learned to day from his wife, Christine, that our shipmate Ron Parks Crossed the bar quite suddenly last September.
Rest in Peace old friend.

Fiddlers Green:
In Condolence:
"Don't cry for me now I have died,
For I'm still here I'm by your side,
My body's gone but my soul's is here,
Please don't shed another tear".
FIDDLER’S GREEN: The imaginary happy land where sailors go when they die and where there is perpetual mirth, music, ale and tobacco and where the shanty-man’s fiddle never stops playing.
Wrap me up in me oilskin and blankets
No more on the docks I'll be seen
Just tell me old shipmates, I'm taking a trip mates
I'll see you again on Fiddlers Green
Now I don?t want a harp nor a halo, not me
Just give me a breeze and a good rolling sea
I'll play me old squeeze box as we sail along
With the wind in the rigging to sing me a song.
And I'll see you again on Fiddlers Green..................".
Keith.
