    Hello robert i joined the british admiral with you in 74. i left the sea in 79 and worked with a food company till i retired last year as engineering manager.

    Hi Davey,

    This is the first time I've been on this web page since 2010 and as such did not see your post. I left BP in 1976 and joined Silver Line tramp steaming till 1980 when I left for shore side. Joined the Ministry of Defence in Feb 1981 and finally retired in 2021 after 40 years originall at Aldermaston the Glasgow and for the last 30 years at Defence Munition Beith. I trust you are keeping well and I'm fine and living in Ardrossan.

    That's jagged another memory, I was in dry dock in Ardrosan in 52 on the British Scout.

    Both, we had to sleep aboard, bloody cold as there were no heating. Could have had a bunk warmer but they were all over forty.

    Sailed with a female RO , she was not called sparky for nothing, also a female second cook, nice buns.
