Roger is a great fellow, I have seen him a couple of times in Australia, including this year. and very helpful and generous.
He doesnt write in too much , as he is quite busy. I notice he does look in from time to time, so I hope he does see it. Why not go down there to see him, makes you very welcome.
    Cheers
    Brian.

Indeed Roger is a great guy,as said doesn't always post too much, but when he does its a good one.
I have always found Roger to be very interesting in conversation, and like Capt says very helpful indeed.
His dear wife. Pauline too is a very nice person.
Glad that you were with Roger so many years ago I am sure he will soon see this post and reply.
That's what this site is all about, meeting friends and more important setting to see old friends from those great years past.
    Cheers

    Hi Bob,

I'm gobsmacked, old mate, what a lovely surprise to hear from you after all these years !!! A lot of water has passed under the bridge since we last met (December, 1958) and I'm sure we have much to talk about. I remember you once telling me of your (or was it your Dad ?) admiration for the beautiful, blue-flowered, jacaranda tree. Perhaps, it's the one standing in my own front garden (due to flower next month) that has sometimes given me cause to wonder what became of you. For some reason I imagined you still living up near Chester-le-Street rather than in Kent. However, rather than waffle on in open forum I'll send you a private message later this date.

Bob, in reference to the kindly remarks from our fellow members, Brian (Kong), Vernon and Lou, I must warn you that although they are all very nice people (great guys) they do tell fibs.

    .....Roger
