Hello . Sorry taken some time to reply . Have had a few problems which were time consuming . To be quite honest I cannot recall these 2 persons. The Chief steward on the Sugar exporter got sacked and flown home from Basra . Myself and 2 other Junior ratings got shot at for breaking a curfew , which the chief forgot to put a notice up on the ships notice board warning of the curfew. He was a Drunkard . Us3 ratings spent several fdys in a hel;l hole in Basra whilst diplomatic efforts were benig taken to get us released .
As for the Kenya castle , it was mainly irish crew on board when I sailed on her . She had signed a crew in Belfast and only wanted a couple or so more when signing in London . I enjoyed that trip greatly , great bunch of lads.

Thanks fpr the welcome Des ,
Loved the time at sea . Had the pleasure of meeting John Prescott on one ship during Signing on . Apart from that loved every minute of the period .
