I think the figurehead is still around, I think it was being refurbished a few years ago.

I was at the vindy early july to late september 1966.While i was there it was announced that the school would be closing at the end of the year.I was a deck trainee and i believe the last class for deck started the week after i left my discharge book number was 835 171.
