    To Daniel Falaise:

Hi Daniel: I note your Quebec location. You must have put in a few trips up the St. Lawrence.
I am researching container ship accidents. Do you know much about the Manchester Courage allision with Irlam Lock Gates in the Manchester Ship Canal, Late 1960s.

Those red hulls were quite distinctive.

    Regards,

Learn something everyday, never knew ML had red hulled vessels, only company I remember in 50's/60's with red hulls were J Lauritzen of Denmark who used to serve the Antarctic stations.,

Green hulled ships in that era were Ropners and Saguenay

Plenty of companies with white, grey and black hulls,

Usual boot topping colours were pink, red, green ones I remember

Pink - Royal Mail, Bibbys, Brocklebanks, Bank Line,

Red - Ropners, Elder Dempster, Saint Line, Donaldsons, Fyffes, Longstaffs,

    Green - PSNC,

Above from memory, many others, any unusual ones come to mind, I think the grey funnel Line have black boot topping, perhaps RFA as well
