Thank you so much for any help

Hope that someone may recall him. As he was still at Sea after 1972 there will be no records, so on that we could not trace his Movements as such.
But as said if there is anyone who may recall him i am sure they would have some Stories to tell.
    Good Luck
    Cheers

That Discharge Number i presume should have a prefix of UK ------

Thank you Doc Vernon, i really appreciate it.

fortunately i have some of the letters he wrote to friends and family and am piecing together his time at sea but this only covers short periods of time over the years.

yes the discharge number does have prefix of UK, sorry i didn't realise that needed including.

    thank you

Possibly naming a few names that are in those letters may bring back some memories to whoever?
    Long Shot but who knows!

Any Ships that you can name would help i guess as well. And possibly his Rating.

Sorry to hear about your Grandads passing, that covid is a terrible scourge, stay in touch as there is always a chance that someone on the site or even the ex seamen who just look in might have sailed with him.
