Apologies for late reply. Yes he was born in Edmonton in 1937. That's the one . I have some photos of him on board and some of the ships which I can scan and post. A few here. I don't know any of the identities of people or ships. I do remember him telling me as a kid about an accident in fog in the Schelt Estuary I believe.
