    Notes:
Joined site as I saw Keith Tindell listed but it was not the mad Geordie I had sailed with when I accessed more details. I served a fitting apprenticeship prior to joining Bank Line & Coe Metcalfe. Later as Engineer / superintendent etc with PD Ports, Svitzer & Teekay (Australia) Now back in the UK. Message if anyone knows me!

Hi Rob, as you'll probably guess I haven't been on this site for a while. Quite possible we sailed together as I was on the Corabank twice, I can't say I remember you. Where are you from? I've just read your profile, similar ships too. I was on Fleetbank, meadowbank, Corabank, Streambank, and Forthbank. My 1st boat was the Ivybank & I left in 1985.

Yes I joined Bank Line in 1978 after completing my apprenticeship at Smiths Dock on the Tees, The only lads I'm still in contact with are Mick Murphy (electrician) Andy Hudson (C/Eng) and Barry Jewson (served my apprenticeship with but he joined Bank Line as a Superintendent after I left). Does anyone still have copies of the old Bank Line rag from late 70's to mid 80's that used to be published & sent around the boats.

#1 Think a bit before your time as was in the early 60s but sailed with a chief and a second ex Bank Line. Both were originally from Belfast and had been B Specials. They were probably not Chief and second when in Bank line though . The seconds name was Norman Hutchison and he lived round the corner from me in the NE coast . The one who was sailing Chief still lived in Belfast and can’t remember his full name , but Lloyd seems to ring a bell , whether first or second name may come back to me later. Cheers JS . ...
