    Hi Chris.
Welcome to the site hope you get plenty out of it especially memories. I see that your service was during the war; I was only telling my wife this morning that when I joined the MN in 49 it never occurred to me to ask any of the older seamen I sailed with about their wartime exploits, only one man a bosun from North Wales who was a prisoner of war. Though I have all my late brothers ships pictures I don't even know anything about my his time at sea during the war. We would welcome any tales of your exploits.
    Cheers Des
Ps I was from Garden Village near Gorseinon

Welcome Chris, First ship Port Line January, 1947 From Newcastle, NSW at age 15 as Engineers Boy then Saloon Boy. Pay five quid + five quid War Bonus (apparently due to possibility of stray magnetic mines). As Des said not much conversation about the war. Would welcome your tales and exploits too.
    Cheers, Richard
