Welcome aboard Kevin.
Often saw those HOO ships going up to the likes of Antwerp and around the U.K. coast. Did some of them have water jet propulsion? Cannot think what makes me think that though.
Some of them looked a bit rough but I always fancied trying them for a spell, especially as I guess you must have visited many of the small, interesting, U.K. ports but did not fancy doing the 6/6 watches. Also their speed only seemed to be around 8 knots at the best.
