The last log book and crew agreement should be in BT 381/1814 for ships official No 135597 Volturno (2)These can be purchased from the TNA Kew usually £8:50 for approx 10 images if you want the last list be specific with as much detail as you can give, follow this link you will not be charged if there is no record

    Doc,
That is the correct file but the other information is way out of date I am afraid. You will not get a Crew Agreement for £8.50 - i think you are quoting from old internet information.
Best to visit Kew to copy the file or get a person you know to copy it for you.

    Regards
    Hugh

Here is the VOLTURNO.. Guessing the age of the ship in 1941 it could be the second photo.

    Hi Janet
So far I have not been able to locate his name on the Merchant Navy Lists anywhere
as far as his R Number is concerned! I have looked at the NA Records and also on the Find my Past MNavy Records,
However I have found his Birth Cert Record and yes it was in Limehouse/Mile End London! March 1923
    Mothers name was White
    1923B1-EF-0375 Fairbrace - Copy.jpg

Cannot understand why the Discharge Number cannot be found, possibly Hugh or someone else will come up with the goods!
    Keep looking!
    All the best
    Cheers
