Hello there Ray, don't know if you remember me but we sailed on the "St Lawrence" together many moons ago. We joined her in Rouen and did the butter run to Leningrad; "steam on deck"was bosun. Am living in Oz these days; got on the aussie coast early 78 and retired a couple of years back. All the best Taff.

Callum, welcome, with a name like that you must be from Stornaway, have known at least 4 McLeods personally and many more from heresay. Sailed with one who was master on the Finnish Wasa, one on the Seaforth Clansman, one on the Seaforth Victor ( Murdo Mcleod) he was drowned in Dundee Harbour when I was home on leave, usual story ship laid up and no gangway. A bloke called Brown was master at the time. And another on one of the Stand By vessels in the North Sea. Also in that company were 3 other skippers I never met but spoke to over the VHF. They were brothers and called Murdo 1 2 and 3. I came to believe you had to be called McLeod to come from Stornaway. Welcome to the site anyway. Cheers John S Added ... Sorry about that was not reading the opening post but a later one and thought the post had been just opened by Callum McLeod, JS
