    Hi Mike,
The thing is, when I was at sea I was a young man, now I am a granddad.
Certainly on the Treneglos I was the youngest of the crew.
So truth to tell, the vast majority of my former crew mates will have gone to meet their maker by now.
Most of the real characters I sailed with were hard working and hard drinking guys who lived life in the fast lane.
I always used to make a joke of my first trip, saying I was recruited into England's Under 21 Shagging team (or should I say bag-off team) for their 1970/71 South American Tour.
    Fond memories you understand.
But I don't think that too many of the others in that team will still be around now.

    Dave

    Hello Dave
Firstly Welcome to the site and thanks for listing your Ships etc!
I think many of us older ones here on site will be in similar circumstances as you, with a lot of our old mates gone into the High Heavens by now,God Rest their Souls!
Yes many of us in our days were good hard workers and hearty drinkers too, possibly some a bit too hearty on the hard stuff LOL!
We got up to lots of antics as well, and yes such fond memories!
Take care and I hope we will read some of your Experiences of the past
    Cheers
