    Hello Mike, we must be around about the same vintage - February 1931. Your discharge number is close to mine which is 528396 (paper discharges before this from January '47). A very different world indeed. Best wishes to you, Richard

    Hello Richard,
    Not far away, July 1933. I left and went back 3 times. Never the same, my last ship had a crewroom bar, general purpose manning and only two men on a watch.
