    Welcome aboard John, hope you have a long and happy stay with us. I see from your impressive list of ships, that I served on four of them, although a tad earlier than yourself, namely Port Hobart, Port Sydney and Port Dunedin (all in 1957) and the Baltic Merchant ( in 1963 and again in 1964).

    Hi John, I see you sailed on quite a few Port boats, amongst others I sailed on Five of the ones you were on, great memories.

    Port Lyttelton. 1951.
    Port Adelaide. May 1951----January 1953. 4 trips including maiden voyage.
    Port Phillip. 1954.
    Port Montreal. 1955.
    Port Wellington. 1956.

    Just worked by on most of them, went deep sea on the port wellington and I was on the crusader run on the port montreal running between new Zealand and japan most of the A/b`s were on there for years they never went home. john

    Hi Fred i see we have some competition in the Port boats.AS you know i sailed in quite a few
    myself and took a few of them on their maiden voyages obviously when they were new around
    the early/mid 50s.For other users Fred and i got back in touch after 60 years through this site.
