I think I was on the Icenic about the same time as you Colin...........the Chief Cook and the Cooks Assistant were both Maltese and hated each other. The Baker was a punch drunk Scots tanker-man and I was an assistant steward with my mate Fitzy ( Roger Fitgerald). The Captains Tiger was suffering from PTSD from being in too many firefights in the army and we had the Chief Engineer's wife on board for the trip; a lovely lady. Does that lot ring any bells ?

20181014_181129.jpgHi Colin or Rob, do either of you remember an Allen or Alan ‘Ringo’ Smith? He was on the Icenic when it berthed in Nelson in 1964. A family member is trying to find him. Any leads on where he might be would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Peter Allison
