    Notes:
    When I was on the B.A. run, like many shipmates we used to see the superstructure of the Graf Spee
    sticking above the water. Depending on the tide more or less of it could be seen. When we were in Montevideo, I was lucky enough to get out to the wreck on one of the salvage tugs that were gradually demolishing the wreck.
    I was able to stand on what I believe was the telemeter with a life line on. So my claim to fame was being aboard the Admiral Graf Spee, even though Langsdorf scuttled her in '39. Did anyone else manage to do the same?

    Jim when when you on the Windsor? Eric Pitt was senior radio officer when I was on her.
