m.v. GRIQUALAND 499 grt Completed 9/62 as yard number 469 by Bodewes, G.& H. Martenshoek.Netherlands. Named SINT JANSLAND for NV Scheepvaart & Steenkolen Mij,Rotterdam.
1968 Sold to Cape Natal Line Pty Ltd,Capetown. Same name.
1969 Renamed GRIQUALAND by owners S.S.M.Suid-Afrikaanse Skeepvaart Lyne (Edms) Bpk,Cape Town.
14.11.70 Explosion & fire on voyage Durban~Port Elizabeth with chemicals in 30.00S/31.03E (off Isipingo,Natal)& scuttled by gunfire from HMS DIDO in 30.05S/30.55E 14.11.70
