    Welcome on this good site,
    Sorry I missed you on your last trip over to UK, I have spoken to Mark a couple of times.
    I see you did another voyage after the POOL FISHER.
    Hope your wife and daughters are all keeping well. I had a lovely email off your youngest last Christmas. brought a tear to my eye.

    Hi don don.t if you remember me but i was on the fourah bay joined it new york 1977 discharged hull 16 12 1977 rejoined12 01 78 then it was renamed magda josefina stayed on it till 02 11 78 i was bosuns mate

    Hi Jimmy
    Don was one of the two survivors of the sinking of the POOL FISHER off the Isle of Wight, on the night of 5/6 November 1979.
    He lives over in Vancouver now.
    I wrote the story of the sinking, rescue and Court of Inquiry in one of the forums.......Merchant Navy General Postings ..............Sinking of the pool fisher.

    I did two trips on the Arakaka.Great job good crowd.Plenty of rum every one on deck had his own gimlet until one of the ABS stuffed it up.

    Hi Jimmy,

    Wow nearly 40yrs , hope life is treating you well.
    sorry for the slow response. Some of the best times of my life was the 18 months on the tekoa.
    I remember you very well jimmy , also curly, bob just to name a few.
    Well I'm married with three kids, oldest is 35. We have four grandkids and I live in Vancouver Canada.
