Hi Duncan
I did a couple of trips on Hornby Grange as Jnr Engineer in 1962 before going on to join NZ Shipping Company ( Durham and Hinakura )
I well remember Dickensen 2/E who made life hell for new engine room crew. At that time Willie and Andy ( Glasgow ) and John ( from Southampton )
were thirds plus Indian guy who's name escapes me ( Wales ) was 4/E ,nice bloke, plus Brian ( Geordie ) 5/E and Alan Ford ( from London )6/E .
Other juniors were Robert ? ( Glasgow ) and Dave Granger ( from Belfast )
C/Ref was a bloke from Scotland and C/Elect Tony ( South England )
From my recollection it wasn't a happy ship due mainly to C/Eng and 2/Eng who probably were good engineers but poor team leaders.
Still the experience was memorable especially the shore times in BA and Monte
