hello gerry,and thanks for your wee note.. i did reply straight away,but am not quite up to speed with this wed site,and do hope you get this...i did what you wanted to do in 1961,and jumped ship here in 69 from a port boat,and got on the coast here for a year before i was apprehended,and luckily enough signed on a shaw saville ship and worked my passage home...i did a few more years,and finally settled here in kiwi in 1972,and a good move it was to...all the best from aotearoa [,the land of the long white cloud]..pete macartney..
