Hi Eamonn - I too was on the Arlanza 1966-69, Asst. Purser. Were you on the Lido Deck with barman Bill Gray and Lounge Steward Dennis Gamble?

Hello and its a yes from me. Just came across this message, I blame my self. YES David, you got a photo now and back then, I remember one Christmas eve we had on board this yank, puts up 2 bots of champers for the boys, Dennis Bill and Eamonn happy days, the as we finished got the call from the Pursers accom. like a drink ? oh yes we do, into the cabin
?was it yours ,whats your drink we were asked ,oh I said mine is champers, cheekily, under in a drawer was yes you got it CHAMPERS good night was had by all, going to my cabin stopped off at the galley big Dennis Murphy from Cork was a pal of ? Connelly from 3rd class bar anyway he was on night duty, passed him seasons greetings .next day Eamonn is like a wet rag ,Dennis said drink plenty of milk, yeah, Joe Harding most likely passed a blind eye to me Dennis Gamble dug me out that day .On new years eve, Dennis been a scot went on the soup ,next day I dug him out.So its California now nice one There was another Purser kind n portly liked the other rugby was it league or union right ,were you the slim one ? So nice of you and the only one from Arlanza I have found . Many times I made calls to anyone knows Dennis Gamble ,no luck .recently I csame accross the words of the finale scene that the [girls]put on in the pig and which I will get to this brilliant site for Merchant Navy guys Dave ?were you called Dave thanks will be in touch ejmac1@eir.net Eamonn
