Another fine one gone
I hear on the radio to day the passing of Dr. Zhivago at the ager of 83.
A fine actor who was also a very good and keen cd player.

a few years ago i stayed in a hotel in deauville ...the hotel du golf .....i was with mymate and our two wives who are golfers ...the girls played golf we sat in the sun and supped.....my mate was a great supper of wine beer spiritsanything sept water ....we were drinking the normandy apple brandy ...a rough but good brandy.....but not a cognac........he cansup day and night but never shows it ....the girls went to play a round of golf four hours later we saw them returning in the diatance .....looking at the table it was filled with empty glasses from the brandy and chasers.......my mate said quick lets move tables ...which we did ...the wives came back and one saidwemust have missed a party over there .......my mate said yes there was a dozen or so .......i couldnt keep my laugh in .....but that evening we arranged to meet in the cocktail bar and duly sat down........a pianist was playing it was an ok scene .....the music changed and started to play the theme from lawrence of arabia .......in came omar sherif......and sat by himself at the next table ......he smiled at us and i said do you get that in most places ...he laghed and said ..yes but it is a nuisance ....we chatted to him and he sid he was going to the casino would we like to get a lift in his car into town .....we new it was hard to get taxis back late in deauville but said no we have our own transport.......and one of the wives would drive us back ....he looked then in19 95 as if he had had a good life .....we were told the casino gave him so many freebees a night .....and the hotel we wedre staying in......also gave him buckshee as it was good to say he stayed there......but a really nice guy down to earth and no fancy airs or graces regards cappy

An Actor that came to fame very fast and my first sighting of him was in Lawrence of Arabia the Movie that really took me by storm!
