Owen Griffith Keen
Owen Griffith Keen
It is with great sadness that I must report the passing of Owen Keen. Owen founded the Union-Castle Staff Register web site which he handed over to me a few years ago. Since then his site was dedicated to the histories of both the Union Line and the Castle Line up to the point of the merger in 1900. I shall be discussing with his family how best to preserve and expand the knowledge that Owen was so painstaking to accumulate.

Re: Owen Griffith Keen
It is very sad news that Chris
I had in the recent past had contact with Owen and he was a true Gentleman,at the time he never told me of anything wrong with him,so it is a blow to say the least!
May I now send my Sincere Condolences to his immediate Family and Friends,i know that he will look down on us and say it was good while it lasted!
May he now rest in peace !
Owen will be missed by many!
Sincerely
Vernon

Re: Owen Griffith Keen
Chris, it is sad when we lose shipmates and yet you have Owen's legacy to further develop. I am sure it will be comforting to his family to have your care and interest in the continuation of the record he founded.
Kindest regards
