Re: Help With Naval Cap Badge Relic Identification
For what its worth it doesn't necessarily have to be a seaman's badge it could be anyone who worked for a company.
These two for instance 1st White Star.
2nd Marconi.

Re: Help With Naval Cap Badge Relic Identification
Its a real mystery alright Chris, But I thank Charles for posting it always good to have a little challenge aboard the site you could well be right, Then again it could have come from anywhere. The only thing I would ask Charles is if this thread disappears into the fog and he identify's the badge please keep us posted. There will be another riddle posted tomorrow or the next day and that's what tends to happen I have done every search I can think of and the only shipping company with those colours I could find was Moss Tankers, But I may be way of course also. Interesting thread I hope we can conclude the mystery Regards Chris Terry.

Re: Help With Naval Cap Badge Relic Identification
There were 2 American shipping companies with a red M on a white background (According to the site of House Flags of U.S. Shipping Co.) Morgan Steamship Co. and the appropriately named Mystic Steamship Company.
