HI Mike.
I don't know when it changed from BTC but when I was on the British Scout in 1951 i'm sure they were still called BTC. but when I look at the funnel the badge it only has BP on it.

This picture I got off the net around 2000, but on the after deck is me with my foot on the rail< I remember it being taken by a bloke who used to take ships pictures in Swansea Bay.
