hey taff, we made it back to grange mouth on our own, where i paid off november 55, you must have been on the next trip. on our trip we were also continually breaking down. while in for repairs, got to see some interesting places, beruit, pireaus, venice. as a first trip deck boy, beruit will always be special, as you all can well guess.
regards, stan

I will have to dig out my old discharge book but the ships I served on were roughly as follows:
Br Swift 1972 as an Eng Cad then:
Br Progress, Surveyor, Scientist, Gannet, Beech, Patience, Sivand (Irano British) several 'R' boats and ended up in the Falklands on the Forth in 1982.
Fond memories. But took redundancy and ran :-)
