I sailed on Bulldog 31st August 59 at Falmouth .We took her to Invergordon to lay up she was still there when I left for ticket Leave In november it was a grand posting for me as I came from Dundee & had a short leave every three weeks till 7th november we used to go ashore to play darts with the locals at the Cromarty Pub.

What dates did you serve on the Admiral and Neath, I was steward on the Admiral Aug 74 and cook baker on the Neath May 75
Havent read all the posts on here so may have missed. When did BP change its name from BTC ( British Tanker Company) I have recollections up to 1953 at least where they were still referred to as BTC. Just curiosity. Cheers JS
my Dad Ernest Davies was on the British Splendour Feb 54,British Workman July 55,British Loyalty Feb 56,British Mariner April 56,British Scout Jan 57 he was also on the British Major 20 Nov 48 (off Java on this date) and another British named ship cant read the second name but her number is168295

I was on the British Scout but in 51, sailed out of Swansea. one of the best times ever, all around the coast, Ireland, Europe up the Scandinavian ports, like Dad's yacht.
Home port Swansea, bus down home in Garden Village, pubs in Gorsienon, great time.

Hia Des you probable wouldn't recognise Swansea docks now all flats,wine bars and restaurants Dad passed away in 87 so we took him out on a tug passed the 1 mile buoy and gave his ashes back to the sea
