In a happy marriage your best mate is your wife . And you do everything to try and protect her from outrageous things that might upset her . Maybe I took this too far in my own life, as after the Piper Alpha the only thing I would talk about to her was in the it was nothing attitude, and never discussed anything with her and tried to keep any of the horrific experiences from her. Over the years things have slipped out , and feel as I have cheated on her by not confiding in her in the first place, But by the same token I felt it easier to get out and speak amongst those who better knew what the scenery was like. However for a marriage to be true there must be no secrets , and I think Ivan this will have been the marriage you had. It must be very hard on you as. Would have been that bit closer ,and part of you has to die as well. The only partial cure is time and maybe in due course you may still have time to find another kindred spirit. Don’t give up your stronger than that. Keep up trying to be positive although it doesn’t seem correct . Regards JS

So sorry to read about the loss of your beloved wife Ivan. I have some idea what you are going through as my partner died 6 months ago. Remember the good times and the laughs you has together.
