    Default Moving!

Believe me dock, the will to survive is very strong regardless of what you think you could not endure.

Well today, apart perhaps for a few minutes tomorrow to scan the incoming will be my last day on the computer for some time, The removal van comes tomorrow, takes the stuff away and delivers to the new abode on Monday, thereafter will be busy sorting things out and don't (cannot!) work at a pace as previously known, knackered after three full days of just cleaning out the garage of 12 years of accumulated 'that may come in useful one day' items, must have been bloody dreaming at the time when uttering those words so many times. Should have listened to Wendy whose words were always 'you'll never use that'

I would dread moving, I have never moved apart from with Parents in 1938.
I have 51 years of gear and acumulated stuff that I really do need one day in my garage.
I leave my £10,000 car outside and lock up all my rubbish in a garage that I cannot get into.
maybe it should be the other way round. Then the thieves could sort it out for me.
Good Luck with your move Ivan,
    Cheers
    Brian.

I have not been in there for a long time.
There is probably a crowd of Somalis living in there.
    Cheers

Good luck Ivan, hope all goes well. I too have a garage of ' come in handy one day items ' most of which will only fit or repair things that have long since vanished never to return. I should imagine the only thing they will ever come in handy for will be filling a skip. Still its great fun looking at some of them and trying to remember what they came off

They say that people on average move eight times in their lives and it's the most distressing thing that you can do.I've only moved once,as soon as I walked into this house I just had that feeling of love and happiness and I stayed here and brought my kids up and they keep coming back this is home!!!
    Regards.

Perhaps nice to have stayed in one place Jim, but sometimes needs must when chasing the money jobs. This will be my 10th move, most of them going up the ladder one way or another, first one moving from hup North to dawrn sarth two moves whilst dawrn south to take up a supt's job, then three moves abroad, then four moves after returning from abroad, first one too far from kids school so moved nearer, left that one after twenty happy years because my beautiful young wife died and too painful to live there, so moved far away. Then met Wendy on a blind date who lived 100 miles away so moved nearer and the rest is history, you've met her so you know why I moved so that she wouldn't escape. What capital we had we've seen our kids right, so now it's time to release some funds from this property and go into a nice flat with a nice balcony near the sea and no garden to worry about and our motto will be 'have passport will travel' There's a reason for everything and 'home' is where your loved one is.

All good wishes Ivan on your move that you find your new home a pleasure and worth it.
Eighteen moves since we married and now getting ready for the 19th as we get this place ready for sale in Spring just a few months off. Been in this house for 24 years but too many stairs and as most builders in Oz years ago seem to have built to tropical designs regardless of the altitude, cold as charity in winter for old bones.
Computer is in meltdown. No retirement villages, must be warm, near the sea, good transport - Camelot?? can't find it on Google Earth.
As for junk, I've been dragged kicking and screaming into quite a few clean outs and I've got down to this.
