    Default pension

    I sailed with NZ Shipping in the sixties, I am due a pension from them but cannot find the fund, does any old ship mates know the address, would be very greatful.

    If you were due a pension from NZSC then the insurance company that administers the fund wwould get in touch with you. If they did not have your address they would do it through Newcastle as all pension payments are made from there. They have your current address (newcastle that is) and would write to you telling you that ABCDE Insurance Company is trying to contact you and give you the contact details of that company. As a matter of interest insuraance companys do not like to have unpaid policys or pensions on their books as it is unproductive in their day to day running. They prefer to pay out and get rid of the policy/pension. Hope all this helps.
