Seems like this little ship assisted at Gallipoli as a transport or hospital ship.

Whitby Abbey
Also see Hull & Netherlands Steamship Company
The Hull & Netherlands Steamship Compnay was formed in 1894 and ran Hull-Amsterdam / Rotterdam services. They became part of Associated Humber Lines in 1957.

ALSO:
While getting "D" Company into our most advanced trench, Capt. Findlay was slightly wounded by shrapnel. He was sent back to Mudros on the Whitby Abbey which had brought him across a few hours before. His first visit to Gallipoli had not been a prolonged one.

HQ?
Certain I saw mention of a mine sweeper, also definately landed and transported troops etc. More than likely assisted injured to hospital ships. But would need to double check and confirm all. ONE MENTION SEEMED TO INDICATE HER AS SOME FORM OF REGIONAL HQ: But as said will double check all.
